About Me
Welcome to Brian Hill’s Stonemasonry
I have a consistent ethical approach to my work. Whether I am working on a precious heritage site or an individual’s home.
I demand the highest standard of workmanship, select the most suitable methods and materials for each individual task and most importantly make sure that customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything I do.
The traditional apprenticeship route required dedication and extremely hard work, supporting and being guided by an established practitioner for 4 years. During this time I also gained the essential industry qualifications, City in Guilds and NVQs to lay the foundations for a career. I was extremely proud when I won a stonemasonry award early on in my career.
I have since gone on to be commissioned by the Commonwealth Graves Commission to restore and preserve Commonwealth Graves all around the UK.
I am more than comfortable working on both traditional and contemporary stone work projects and work in quite diverse locations from my workshop, on private houses, commercial properties, church steeples, schools the list is endless really.
I have been in the stone and the construction trade for over 38 years. When I started my trade in stonemasonry I worked through the traditional apprenticeship route, learning about the core materials, tools and techniques of the trade.
I am more than happy to provide creative and original solutions to any stone work requirements and provide my clients with the best guidance, dedication and attention to detail needed to get the best results. I take great pride in my work and enjoy the sense of achievement once a project is finished.
